Just received the base box and gearing up for exploring all weekend! I am a first time player and am a little unsure of whether to play The Crystal Song PNP curse first or jump right in to The Voraceous Goddess?
In one of the Kickstarter updates it was mentioned that the PNP was being put up for download since the Crystal's Song was not being produced until the 2nd wave and it was a good one for new players. If this is the case I have printed off the cards do I just work them into the main set of cards and begin with the The Crystal's Song curse card and go from there? Is there anything else I need to know or do? Thank you for the input. Posted
Some veterans and I think that the Voraceous Goddess is better at learning the mechanism of the game: the curse is directive for the way and without special rules to manage.
Crystal's Song is very good for sharing the experience with friends in a 2 hour game. The difficulty is not trivial, so there is a challenge, but it's a little different from a full 12h curse. The 2 hours from Crystal's Song is also nice to play a bit to have rules right by the time you start a "real" game
And something we had missed about the adventurers' goal in Crystal's Song : Visiting the 10 crystal exploration cards you have is the actual goal of the mission, but we dumbly avoided spawning new ones when we could because we assumed it was a time limit |
