Take a look a your satchel. For every player count there is a picture how many stacks a player may have and how many items per stack are allowed

You haven't done anything wrong. This happens in "transition zones" when you enter from region II into region III for example.

It's just the other way round.
If you draw a card with a :7: it turns all :icon_succes_7: into :icon_succes: on those items you used inthis action

Correct, the expansions contain some advanced skills (IIRC it was one per exp.)

They already are distinguishable by the first letter of their printed ID

A: Base Box
B: The Icy Maze
C: The Forbidden Sanctuary
and so on
